A structured approach to learning to fly
Learn to fly today! When I assist you in your journey to obtaining your pilot’s license you will follow an established program that is designed to get your rating in the safest and most efficient way possible. You will follow a proven syllabus that will guide you on your way to the skies.
I use the Gleim syllabus when instructing people to fly. This is the same syllabus that Part 141 schools use. It can be used under Part 61 or Part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. If you would like more information on the what the FAA requires to obtain your license you can visit the FAA Training Resource site
In addition to using the Gleim syllabus, I supplement training with products from Rod Machado. Rod is a well known aviation educator and humorist. You can browse what Rod has to offer here.
My Experience
I have been teaching people to fly for over 25 years in both civilian and military aviation. I was an Instructor Pilot and Instrument Flight Examiner in AH-64 Apache and MH-47 Chinook helicopters while serving in the U.S. Army. Upon retiring out of the Army I became a check airman for a national air ambulance operator. I hold both a Bachelor and Master degree in Aviation. With over 6,200 total hours and over 2,000 instructing hours, I adjust my teaching style to meet the clients learning style.
I currently reside in Saratoga Springs, Utah and will travel to Salt Lake City all the way down to Spanish Fork to instruct clients. I have access to several airplanes or if you have your own we can use that.
